Hosted by performance artist Jenny Edbrooke & poet Kate Tym featuring comedy duo Croft & Pearce (Sketch comedy at its best - Alastair McGowan****), singer Rachel Cuming (A voice full & rich, simultaneously ethereal & swooning), naïve pop songwriter GardyLoo SPeW, cabaret artist Bryony Kimmings (an unbashedly, wacky sweetheart - Guardian ****) & DJ Jane Marriner. Delicious food by Esther Sam with a focus on local, seasonal produce and a licensed bar.

Plus body painting workshop with Jenny Edbrooke, yarn bombing & guerilla knitting with Wendy Harvey, storytelling with Hilary Watkins, live art from Xaverine Bates & Miranda Sharp, short stories and poems by local writers illustrated by Julie Plantecoste.

We will be screening a selection of silent films by female filmmakers in the theatre from 6.00pm - 8.00pm whilst the knitting event is taking place. If you would like your film to be considered for screening, please submit as either a .Mov .mp4 or .flv file to: by Monday February 18th.


RGKHave you ever wanted to do some guerilla knittiing or to yarn-bomb, or even to learn to knit or crochet? Or perhaps you just want to knit and/or crochet in a group? Now is your chance!

As part of Domestic Disturbance we want to create strands of knitting or crochet, and knitted or crocheted surprises, to be woven in and along fences & hung from trees from Rye town to The School Creative Centre.

To achieve our aim we will be holding 2 FREE knitting sessions at The School on Saturday 23rd Feb and Sunday 3rd March from 2pm to 4pm. Yarn, needles and hooks will be supplied (any donations will be gratefully received) but your company is essential!

A walk from Hastings to Rye on Sunday 3rd March starting at 10am to celebrate International Women's Day by RUNWAY Artsts. All are welcolme to join this challenging, active and purposeful art walk. Please wear black with long sleeves for the photos to be taken at 5 points along the trail where we will speak of local women who have made a difference.
