Who's Listening? Audiostories
Created for passengers on the Marshlink trains and available via QR coded downloads, Who's Listening? is a wonderful collection of audiostories and rapstories by local adults and young people produced for the Rother District element of the East Sussex wide Word County project in partnership with Sussex Community Rail Partnership by AudioActive at The School Creative Centre in Rye.
The Smuggler's Tale and The Case of Alice Martin have been written and performed by nine young people who attended a three day workshop with artists from AudioActive.
The group of 17 adult writers attended a one-day workshop to explore ideas and techniques and Rother historian and curator of the Bexhill Museum, Julian Porter, gave a fascinating talk on local history. Two of the subsequent submissions, Bicycle Made for Two by Kate Tym and Fools' Errand have been produced as audiostories and the others are available to download and read on the website HERE.
